The Rites of Spring

The Rites of Spring (RoS) is a live action roleplaying game (larp) based on works of English Folk Horror. Participants will take on the roles of the residents and visitors to Spring Island, a place with a long and mysterious history, and each individual will have their own goals to strive for and dark secrets to protect. Drawing on themes of the unknown, insular community and of folklore and ritual, there will be secrets to uncover, island politics to compete over, and ancient traditions to uphold (or break); all sprinkled liberally with a dusting of tension and fear. Each character will spend their days exploring the island and its mysteries, preparing for the coming festival with their island societies and socialising with their “family” groups.. all in preparation for the Rites of Spring.
